The full programme has now been released, offering a comprehensive view into how Europe’s cultural heritage ecosystem is rapidly evolving advanced 3D data infrastructures to immersive XR experiences powered by AI and next-generation visualisation technologies.
This final forum is a joint initiative of 3DBigDataSpace, XRculture, and 3D-4CH, showcasing how complementary European projects are building an integrated digital heritage ecosystem that connects:
- scalable 3D data infrastructures and enrichment pipelines
- AI-driven digitisation and model enhancement (including NeRFs and Gaussian Splatting)
- immersive XR applications for museums, education, and tourism
- and long-term strategies for skills development, interoperability, and sustainability
A programme spanning the full digital heritage pipeline
The newly released agenda guides participants through the complete lifecycle of digital cultural heritage:
The morning sessions focus on 3D data management, aggregation, and AI-driven enrichment workflows, demonstrating how large-scale heritage datasets are structured, improved, and prepared for reuse across Europe.
The afternoon shifts towards XR technologies and immersive applications, highlighting how 3D cultural heritage assets can be transformed into interactive experiences for diverse audiences ranging from researchers and professionals to museum visitors and the wider public.
Participants will explore cutting-edge methods such as:
- Neural Radiance Fields (NeRFs)
- Gaussian Splatting
- XR storytelling environments
- Web-based 3D and mixed reality applications
3D-4CH: strengthening skills, standards, and practice
As the Online Competence Centre in 3D for Cultural Heritage, 3D-4CH plays a central role in ensuring that technological innovation translates into real-world capacity building and institutional adoption.
At the forum, 3D-4CH will contribute a strong focus on:
- skills development and professional training in 3D and XR workflows
- standards, interoperability, and best practices for cultural heritage digitisation
- institutional uptake of emerging technologies in museums, archives, and heritage organisations
- and the long-term sustainability of digital transformation in the sector
This perspective ensures that the forum is not only about showcasing technology but about enabling practical use, adoption, and long-term impact across the cultural heritage community.
A shared European vision for digital cultural heritage
The final panel discussion will bring together representatives from 3DBigDataSpace, XRculture, 3D-4CH, and the Common European Data Space for Cultural Heritage to reflect on a shared roadmap for Europe’s digital future.
Together, these initiatives demonstrate how Europe is building a unified ecosystem where: data, technology, and expertise converge into a sustainable digital heritage infrastructure.
Within this ecosystem:
- 3DBigDataSpace focuses on scalable 3D data infrastructures and enrichment
- XRculture develops AI-powered XR technologies and immersive applications
- 3D-4CH ensures skills, standards, and capacity building for long-term adoption
