3D-4CH supports Revitaliser Summer School 2026 in Cyprus

6. 5. 2026

This autumn, the 3D-4CH project will contribute to the second Revitaliser Summer School, taking place in Cyprus, reinforcing its commitment to training and capacity building in the cultural heritage sector.

The Revitaliser project Summer School brings together professionals working at the intersection of heritage, technology, and regional development. The programme focuses on practical skills, exchange of knowledge, and collaborative learning, offering participants the opportunity to engage directly with current challenges in heritage revitalisation.

A focus on training and applied knowledge

As part of this year’s edition, 3D-4CH will support the Summer School through its Online Competence Centre in 3D for Cultural Heritage, contributing both expertise and training capacity.

In particular:

Members of the 3D-4CH consortium will be actively involved in the teaching programme
Marco Medici will join as a tutor, contributing hands-on expertise in 3D documentation and workflows
The project will support the participation of two professionals, underlining its focus on upskilling practitioners already working in the field

This contribution reflects a broader objective of 3D-4CH: to move beyond tool development and ensure that knowledge is effectively transferred to those applying these technologies in real-world contexts.

Strengthening skills across the heritage sector

The Summer School is designed primarily for professionals rather than students, creating a space where participants can engage with advanced methodologies while also exchanging experiences from their own work environments.

Through its involvement, 3D-4CH continues to position the Competence Centre as a long-term hub for training, guidance, and knowledge exchange in 3D cultural heritage. Supporting initiatives like the Revitaliser Summer School is part of building a more connected and skilled European heritage community—one that is able to work across disciplines and adapt to evolving technological frameworks.

Looking ahead

As digital tools become increasingly central to heritage work, opportunities for hands-on training and peer learning are essential. The Revitaliser Summer School offers exactly this kind of setting: focused, practical, and grounded in real challenges.
