Strengthening collaboration around 3D technologies for cultural heritage

On 21 July 2026, the 3D-4CH project brought together members of its Advisory Board and Stakeholder Panel for a joint online meeting to discuss recent achievements, ongoing activities and future developments.

 

The meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen collaboration with key experts and stakeholders, gather feedback and reflect on the project's progress in advancing 3D technologies and skills for cultural heritage.

 

Reviewing milestones and project achievements

 

The session opened with a welcome by Alexandru Stan, who introduced the role and objectives of the Advisory Board and Stakeholder Panel. Marco Medici then presented an overview of key milestones, including recent activities such as the 1st 3D-4CH Winter School, AI for 3D Digital Twins in Cultural Heritage, Storytelling in XR: A Co-Creation Session, and Twinit! Part II.

 

The discussion also highlighted progress in areas including Ukrainian heritage preservation, project governance and community engagement.

 

Advancing training and digital platforms

 

Participants received updates on the project's training courses, materials and curriculum, discussing current results and opportunities for further development.

 

Matevz Straus presented the latest developments of the 3D Competence Centre Online Platform, including its current status and planned improvements to further support the cultural heritage community.

 

Measuring impact and looking ahead

 

The meeting concluded with a presentation of the new impact framework by Alexandru Stan, introducing the approach for measuring project outcomes through dedicated indicators and key performance indicators (KPIs). Stakeholders were invited to share their reflections and feedback on the proposed framework.
