On 26 September 2025, science and society come together across Europe for 20th time of the annual European Researchers’ Night: a celebration of curiosity, innovation, and knowledge-sharing. This year, partners of the 3D-4CH project will take part with a diverse set of workshops and activities, each reflecting our shared mission: using 3D technologies to preserve, share, and reimagine cultural heritage.
Our partner PCSS (Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center) has a long tradition of hosting Researchers’ Night, and this year’s programme promises to be as exciting as ever. Visitors can:
Digitise their own old photographs in a workshop on Preparing Digital Copies of Old Photographs, learning why professional-grade digitisation matters.
Step into the world of quantum computing in Quantum Adventure: Motion, Spin & Entanglement, where participants quite literally “become a qubit.”
Learn how to share research beyond journals in How to Record a Professional Podcast.
Explore PCSS’s server room, meet “the superheroes of science,” and experience the latest in VR, robotics, drones, and light painting.

In Italy, 3D Research will welcome middle school students (ages 11–19) for a series of 30-minute sessions introducing them to 3D technologies in cultural heritage. These interactive workshops connect directly to the 3D-4CH project’s activities, showing how research translates into hands-on learning and sparking curiosity in the next generation.
From Spain, Universidad de Jaén presents “A Sensory and Inclusive Journey to Iberian Art.” This workshop is designed for children aged 6–10 as well as groups with visual disabilities. Participants will:
Explore 3D-printed replicas of Iberian artefacts through touch, guided by auditory descriptions.
Sketch their impressions before seeing the objects themselves.
Step into immersive VR and AR environments for a new layer of interaction.
Gamification elements make the workshop playful and engaging, ensuring that accessibility and inclusion remain central to the experience.
At 3D-4CH, we believe cultural heritage is for everyone. By combining 3D technologies with creative educational methods, we can make heritage more accessible, engaging, and meaningful for diverse audiences. The European Researchers’ Night offers the perfect platform to share this vision, not only with academic peers, but with the public at large.
Stay tuned as our partners share photos, highlights, and stories from the events all across Europe.
