[3D-4CH] MODULE 6: ACCESS AND REUSE

The courses within Module 6 are currently under development.
About:
This module aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to maximise access to, use, and reuse of 3D digital heritage assets, enhancing their social, scientific, and economic value.
It focuses on how 3D data can:
- Be effectively published, shared, and reused across different contexts
- Generate impact in research, education, tourism, and public engagement
- Be integrated into open access ecosystems and FAIR data practices
The module also develops competences in:
- Designing reuse strategies
- Evaluating impact and user engagement
- Applying inclusive and accessible approaches (DEI)
- Supporting cross-sector innovation
Learning outcomes:
After his module, participants will:
remember:
- good practices for offering 3D models for reuse, if possible based on real world cases.
- what made these good practices successful
understand:
- what rights statements and licenses are
- how to make sure that models can easily be reused from a copyright perspective
- that there are different levels of quality needed for specific reuse cases, from the highest detail to smaller files
- how models can be processed to offer different quality levels
- the different activities that can be done to promote and/or find 3D models
- the need to interact with (other) users of 3D models
- the need for tracking use of models
be able to:
- choose the types of licenses and rights statements that ensure the intended reuse possibilities
- search for existing 3D models that can be used for their use cases
Target audience: Manager, Policy-maker, Student, Creatives and Educators (users of 3D content)
