A New European Platform for 3D Cultural Heritage Goes Live
The 3D-4CH Online Competence Centre in 3D has officially launched, marking a key milestone for Europe’s digital cultural heritage ecosystem. Co-funded by the European Union, the platform provides cultural heritage professionals with a collaborative, accessible environment for working with 3D digitisation, artificial intelligence, and extended reality technologies.
The Online Competence Centre is conceived as a living platform — a stable foundation that will continue to grow through community engagement. Rather than presenting a closed system, the platform invites professionals to contribute knowledge, test tools, and help shape its evolution.
Developed by a pan-European consortium of museums, universities and technology partners, the 3D-4CH Online Competence Centre supports practical heritage workflows across research, education, conservation and tourism.
Cultural heritage professionals are invited to explore the platform, share expertise and join a growing European community shaping the future of 3D cultural heritage.
